Re: 4 Great Games That Everyone Should Try... or Else!

Let's see, I have always loved the dialog first and foremost. The whole script is brilliantly written, balancing high stakes with copious amounts of humor. The worldbuilding is also tremendous, and all of the characters you interact with feel like they have their own agendas and take actions indepen...

Re: 4 Great Games That Everyone Should Try... or Else!

I played both SC1 and 2 way back on DOS (SC2 first, to be fair, which is what drew me to seek out 1) in the early '90s. I never really developed much of a taste for 1, but SC2 remains in my all time top 10 to this day. I only heard about the Starflight games years later, either here or on UQMF, and ...

Re: Where are you heading?

I've lived here since 2009, when I got married. I had no idea anyone else here was practically right next door. So as of yesterday, Bucks is under the same lockdown as Montgomery, so we are sheltering in place. I had already taken off next week (we had originally planned to go away for a few days, b...

Re: Where are you heading?

I live in Bucks County, so I am quite familiar with your situation. My son's school has been closed since yesterday, and is scheduled to reopen on the 23rd, but we'll see. We had some travel plans for next week, suffice to say those have been cancelled, so my wife has been scrambling to every store ...

Re: Trying to beat star control origins... Yes Spoilers!

I would say the same. I have never played SCO and likely never will, so I have no context to understand the very brief details you are reporting. Let's Play threads are, by necessity and design, supposed to be very detailed (if not about the entire game, at least about the focal aspects of the LP); ...

Re: [SPOILERS] *THEM*: manifestations and forms

That was always my interpretation. Based on the Bukowski incident, whatever was attacking isn't using projectile weapons. The weapons damage to everything always seemed like the Androsynth trying in vain to defend themselves.

Re: [SPOILERS] *THEM*: manifestations and forms

I always liked the theory that the Orz and "Them" are two separate entities, and the Orz in fact really don't like "Them" very much at all. The gist is that the Orz aren't responsible for doing anything to the Androsynth, they just took advantage of the breach created when the Androsynth were attack...
