Old timer thread

Post by 2-23-6 » Thu Aug 18, 2016 3:54 am

So where did Viropher, Miguel, Jack Bomb, AngryShrew and others end up? And when did they leave? I have Chad on my LinkedIn, I should give him a shout. The man's pushing like 40 by now.

Be interesting to see if any old names come out of the woodwork in response to this. I visited the #starcontrol IRC channel for the first time in years on a whim the other day and there were still a few names there I recognised from 18+ years ago - SC fans are a persistent bunch ;)
You WILL be annigilated... I mean annihigated.. damn!

Pushing 40? Of course you're pushing 40 if you were old enough to play SC2 when it first came out. I'm pushing 40.

But I didn't find the online community for a raather long time. :(

So nice to see you still lurking here, like a clock you're always there when we do these roll calls :D. You're one of the few still active here that I remember from 1999-2000 on Guillaume Lafranc's discussion board :).
Anyway, Wow! Is that IRC channel still a thing? Could you tell us which server it's on, because I don't really remember :).

I think EFNet? Hello, Tsing! You made some awesome artwork back in the day. I have ZogGop on my LinkedIn as well, he's working at some bioconsulting company as a support tech.

That old. I've got a long way to go that fortunately. Or so I tell myself.

Are you really back to doing this thread semi-annually Numbers? You've been asking after the same people since 2009 or so dude. Only one who ever came back was Angelfish

Tsing appeared. :) I dunno, there's something that always felt very unfinished about that time in my life, around NetSC. That's likely why I keep recalling it.

And tsing comes out of the woodwork every once and a while. :). I love these running gags. And you might not know it but we should revisit the NetSC universe sometimes ;). Perhaps we can mod the hell out of SC:Origins (as they promised we could) and make our own version from that?
