anyway, lately I've been charmed by autonauts, a free game that is a bit of a cross between minecraft and factorio.
like factorio it allows you to automate gathering resources and fabricating stuff, but it is more robot-focussed and basically you can create robots that can do exactly the same as the player could. It's regularly updated and quite fun to play already, but still in alpha :).

Could never really get into those open world construction-y games. I need something a bit more focused usually. (also, they can turn into infinite time-sinks)

I'm going to try to install OpenXcom, which has several ease-of-use features that I want, without changing the game too much. Those old UIs can be pretty terrible.

Thanks, I'll read up.

Aaaaand, I'm starting to stall out on Terror from the Deep. Too many missions in the mid-late game, and I'm burning out. I know I can ignore some of the smaller crash sites, but I feel so guilty!

Have started up Torment: tides of Numenera, which is impressing me so far. Crazy setting, solid writing and an interesting plot so far.

Have you tried "The end is nigh"?

No, I'm afraid I haven't heard of it.

That is a very challenging platformer with good music, at which dying 75~100 times before clearing a screen is not unheard of.

I suggest trying out Karoshi and it's sequel, Karoshi 2. Let's call it.. an alternative puzzle-platformer. 2 in particular has some delicious puzzles up it's sleeve.

As for me, I've been playing a shitload of Dark Souls 3. Again. Since the series is just that damn good.
Not gone. Drifting in the flow of the world, observing.
