Star Control 1 & 2 re-released on GOG.com

Ahh, vague omens and mysterious portents. Tangled webs of fate intertwined with the branches of destiny, blown by the capricious winds of happenstance. News, news....uh, actually there is some news!

Good Old Games is a cool outlet and all, but people are aware that StarCon2 is free, right? I personally don't feel a need to give CD Projekt any charity dollars because I've already pre-ordered The Witcher II from them.

For me the attraction there is SC1, which isn't that easy to find/run AFAIK. UQM has so many more possibilities (like netmelee!) that I'd never pick the original SC2 before that. Well, maybe if i just wanted to read the Metachron line

Only one of the reviews notes UQM, and that review recommends against SC1. Am I going to have to get a GOG account??

It's a campaign to see if there is interest for a new Star Control.

... ... I wish.

That's one heck of a surprise and I just got home too.

I think this is going to make the Star Control trademark more complicated since Atari used it in the sense that they allowed the Star Control name to be used for this.

In any case, I hope this helps get the name out there and support the notion that we need a true sequel to Star Control II by TFB.

I have a GOG account and I'll definitely write a review for it once and mention UQM when I get the chance. Other people should too, buying the game from GOG isn't required to write a review.

I hope Matt Barton's interview with PR3 and FF because of this.

Shiver, I also pre-ordered The Witcher II from them. :D

Advanced in simplicity, just look at the code for that :)
