Unable to upload files
I attempted to upload starcontrol.smd (the kega fusion or emulator file of sc1) from my computer and the file is not showing up in my post.
Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
Dropbox, maybe? I haven't messed around with file attachments. Maybe there's a whitelist of filetypes, and understandably that's not on it.

Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
It's looks as if the only 3 administrators that exist on this site haven't visited in months if not years. Very strange...
well thanks anyway.

Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
Well, there are different tiers of administrator. We have 3 moderately active low-tier admins (including me), but the owner is largely absent.

Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
So if you're an admin you should know this for sure. Or, you should be able to help me upload these files. This site is obviously geared towards star control 1 and 2 ( judging by the default icons and picts) but most here are chatting about star control origins. I am really trying to, and am excited about playing star control 1 one vs one through the net but don't see anyone here doing so. I strongly suggest that these files be made accsessible to visitors through this site so this can happen.
Any help please?

Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
I think it could be because you counted as a 'newly registered user'. Regular users can upload files, but newly registered users cannot. However, you now appear to be a regular registered user, so maybe if you try again it'll work.

Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
I tried it again and saw in red letters "this extension .smd is not allowed." does anyone have the authority to change this? This is ridiculous...
Re: UNABLE TO ATTACH FILE
I don't find it ridiculous - this is not a file sharing site. Will Dropbox take it? Google docs?
