Fullscreen works for me, though it is a little wonky on widescreen monitors. You can play with the original graphics up to 1280x1024 (If your monitor can support it). Otherwise, you can try the magnifier tool in Windows 7:

Hmm... I'm wondering...
Is it possible to create some sort of obvious P6014 link on the front page of SCDB and star-control.com? Most guests to this site probably will never dig deep enough into the site to find the project, and I think it's something that deserves to be better publicized.

Ok, I signed for this forum just so I could say THANK YOU!! I downloaded this mod last night and played right through the story, fantastic, amazing and excellent effort. Took me right to playing the original while in high school. I eagerly look forward to seeing this mod completed. In the meantime I will brush up on my skills in Super Melee. ;)

Hi, I'm from uqm-rus.uvw.ru 8-)

I remember my password, log in to our forum and see your message. :oops:
Then I download and install and play 0.2.1
Game is looking good, nice, very interesting =)


So, now technical details.
(My laptop connot into hires4x, and I use hires2x.)

I adopt some system fonts like starcon.fon with batch resize, implode it to P6014-0.2.1-prv-hires2x.uqm, include ripped russian.zip as addon, sync and translate gamestrings.txt inside addon, and... la voila!

All menus, stars, planets etc. - speaks russian with me! :D

So, what's next? :roll:


PS: Sorry for my 100% percent poor English :mrgreen:

I'd love any help we can get for the translations! Send me a private message or email me (it's my username @gmail.com). I have a bunch of Photoshop files I've made that need translating (PSD files), some text, etc.

You can see an example here (oops. never translated the Super Melee part):

If you get to the dialog files that are in the new dialog format, do NOT translate the code lines, like
