And now we have The homeworld of the Druuge. This world is a dust world. In the game, Mars is also considered a dust world. So this is why I made it have some similar features.

Also, thank you for your feedback guys! :D

What about the Supox homeworld, Vlik? I'd like to see that one!

Alrighty! By request, I've skipped straight to the Supox homeworld of Earth. Or...erm.... Vlik. Earth? no no. It's Vlik. What? They mean the same thing? OH! I see. Here's Vlik:

See, now this one has an in-game justification for being so brown: The Supox are sentient plants. You will only ever see the surface of this world if the Kohr-Ah cleanse it. 8(

So yeah, I like the greened up version a lot. The "polar" regions look a little weird, though; the transition seems abrupt.

Yeah, I definitely went for a different approach with Vlik. The Supox describe their world as having azure oceans and abundant life both flora and fauna. So I made the oceans a little lighter in color, and I made a specific effort to keep and deserts off the map. Polar ice caps and colder regions have always been difficult for me to pull off. So I've been using real Earth images as a reference. Mainly this picture:

Honestly, do all planets "need" to have ice-covered polar regions? There could be life-bearing planets that are much warmer than Earth and have little or no ice in their polar regions.

If I am not mistaken, there will always be two points that will receive far less energy when a planet is rotating around itself. Those points are basically on the center of rotation on both side. So, unless the planet is somehow able to rotate in such a weird way that it changes is rotation axis periodically...then, a colder spot will always occur. Now, depending on the distance to the star, the star output and the atmosphere composition, there will be/there won't be an ice cap on the rotation pole.

That aside, it would be nice to get a planet which the rotation speed make's it geocentric (or almost) compared to the star. The likely result is a planet half ice HALF baren...or something like that.
